Quebec is that date you go on with no expectations only to be swept off your feet. Its picturesque old world architecture, cobble streets, and view of the Saint Lawrence river is Hallmark rom-com meets Disney fairytale on steroids!
And the men…. My goodness! They had the style and sophistication of a Frenchman and the physique of an Canadian outdoorsman. Think Prime Minister of Canada Justin Thrudeau.
Now to plan accordingly for your trip, look your best. You just never know whose eye you may catch.
Say, anyone know if 90 Day Fiance is filming in Canada? In all seriousness, things are getting pretty scary here…
With so many hot men and bakeries to check out, there was little time for sightseeing, but I still managed to snap a few photos to share with you all of my favorite spots in Quebec.
Okay, all silliness aside, Chicas, Old Quebec is a must for your next girls trip. My friend and I spent one day in Quebec while on our way to Montreal. One day was just enough to stroll the cobble streets, enjoy lunch, do a little shopping, and catch the sunset on a terrace as we chatted over an ice cream and watched the hot Canadian men pass by. And let’s not forget the talented street performers.
Our trip started by visiting the Parliament Building. Its gardens and grounds alone are worth a visit. We visited in mid July and the peonies were in full bloom. Just beautiful!
From the Parliament Building we crossed the street to the to Old Quebec’s Historic District. You enter through a stone archway on Rue Saint Louis Street which is lined with 17th and 18th century architecture.
We followed the Rue Saint-Louis street all the way through until we arrived at the Petit-Champlain district; a section of Old Quebec paved in cobble and over 400 years old.
Our final stop was the Dufferin Terrace. It’s a beautiful wooden walkway with stunning views of the St. Lawrence river and the historic Chateu Frontenac hotel.
The few hours we spent in Quebec felt like an absolute dream. I for one can’t wait to return. The next time I visit, I plan to spend an entire week in Quebec and bring along my Prima for a girls weekend of fun.
Until the next blog, Adios!
